Markfield offers opportunities and choices Disabled people and their families would not otherwise have access to. Markfield is building a more inclusive future with the local community.

Children's Play

At Markfield we have playschemes in the holidays and after school clubs where Disabled and non-Disabled children can play together and everyone feels included. If you are 5-12 years old you can come to our clubs and playschemes to make friends and play.

Markfield’s clubs and playschemes are really popular and there is a waiting list for them. You can also come with your family to use our drop in play sessions. There are no waiting lists for these

Youth Leisure and Leadership

We have youth clubs and holiday playschemes for 11-19 year olds and support for siblings of Disabled children. You can choose activities, build a great social life and develop new skills. Everybody is supported to have fun and feel included.

Markfield’s youth clubs and playschemes are really popular and there is a waiting list for them. We run some drop in times when you can have use our adventure park. There are no waiting lists for these.

      Adults Leisure Services

We have day and evening sessions for adults with learning disabilities and their friends. These sessions provide a range of self-chosen activities such as arts, music, relaxation and drama. Group members explore and develop their skills and interests in supportive and inclusive sessions.

 Family and Carers

Markfield’s family support team provides advice, advocacy and information, family training and befriending. Mutual support is encouraged through parent support and campaigning groups, family activity days and an under 5s drop-in. Families can also get short breaks from caring while their Disabled family member uses our leisure services.
