Sylvan has provided spiritual, or energy healing for well over 50 years.  Each of our team of healers has undergone a long period of training and over those years, there are few physical, mental and spiritual complaints that we have not worked with.  Some healers pass on healing energy by working above the body but at Sylvan, we work via gentle touch to the body.  Each client is treated with care and in strict confidence.  Healing energy is known by many different names – universal life force, simply ‘energy’, natural energy – it matters not what you call it or believe it to be.

None of our healers will ever promise a cure, only that we will do our utmost to ease whatever ails the client.  Each person is urged to consult his medical practitioner if he has not already done so and where a course of treatment is already being administered, such as chemotherapy, our aim is to work with this treatment to enhance it, ease pain, speed recovery and instill a felling of positivity and well-being.  It is rare for clients not to feel some improvement and this can range in degree from subtle to a really marked differences.  At the most basic level, the great majority leave after a healing session feeling uplifted, calmer and eased.

We are happy to work with anyone in distress whether caused by physical illness such as cancer, internal organ problems, broken bones (to speed healing), muscular strains, mental areas such as stress, bereavement and confusion through to those seeking to learn more about spiritual matters. You will need to allow 15 to twenty minutes for your healing but we ask that you arrive a few minutes early so that you can relax before your healing begins and also that you sit quietly for a few minutes afterwards.

We do not charge for healing.  Our healers work on a voluntary basis because they love the work they do.  We do have to bear the normal costs of maintaining premises, however – rates, insurance, heating, etc. but ask only that those who are able to leave a nominal donation.  This would typically range between £5-20.00.  Those not able to do this are, of course, equally welcome at Sylvan.

Please ask us if you would like absent, or distant, healing for anyone not able to visit.  We are happy to accept such requests but do ask that you obtain permission from the recipient before contacting us.  Absent healing can be very powerful and can achieve really good results.

Our healing sessions are on Sundays (10 – 12 a.m.), Tuesdays  (10 – 11.30 a.m.) and Wednesdays (9 – 11.30 a.m.) and Monday evenings from 7 p.m.  Please just call and leave a message or preferably call during one of our healing sessions so that our receptionist can deal with any questions you may have and arrange an appointment for you.
