Willowfield Parish Community Association

WPCA was started in 2002 in inner east Belfast to benefit local residents; teenagers, elderly, lone parents, primary aged children, unemployed, families struggling with the impact of deprivation and poverty. The Willowfield area (straddling Woodstock & the Mount Electoral Wards) is identified within the top 10% of social deprivation in Northern Ireland. An initiative of Willowfield Parish Church, WPCA runs a variety of programmes; Afterschool /homework clubs and other children’s programmes, Family Support, Job Club, youth projects, support for unemployed young adults, outreach, lifestyle and self-esteem programmes. We connect with several hundred local people each week whose lives are impacted by sectarianism, social deprivation, drug and alcohol additions, educational underachievement, low employment opportunities.
